Candlelight – “You are here to be the light, bringing out the God-colors of this earth”

Des Colores!  I have two brief topics to bring to your attention.  The first is that, in an effort to assist the music leaders for candlelight services, we are putting together a binder of music.  The binder will be available to the musicians for each candlelight service.  Song sheets will also be available for the community to use.  This will eliminate a great deal of the musicians’ prep time for the service. 

 If you are a musician and would like input on song selections, please contact me at candlelight@emmaussem.org. 

 If you play a musical instrument and would like to lead the music during a candlelight service, please let me know (e-mail address above or 810-395-4162).  While we have a list of musicians, it is likely that the list is not complete and we want this opportunity to be available to all of our musicians.  The next Walk candlelight service will be on       Oct.  20th. at Wyandotte First United Methodist, 72 Oak Street, Wyandotte. 

The Community gathers for Fellowship at 8:00 p.m. and Community Worship, Communion and Candlelight Services is at 8:30 p.m.  Bring your nametag and agape letters, Pilgrims arrive at approximately 10:00 p.m.

Just a quick reminder that we will now have candles available for people to use during the Candlelight Service that will need to be returned. Also, if you have a candle(s) that you would like to donate to our supply, bring them to an upcoming Candlelight service and then leave it when you depart. We hope that this gives everybody the opportunity to participate with a candle without having to remember it or buy a new one.
